    1. Let's say Hannibal did not use the "sneak attack" method to attack Rome. Would this have changed the outcome? Why or why not?
    2. Did Rome's location have any significance as to why they were such a well established empire?

  6. 1.If the united states government had adopted having two Consuls instead of one president do you think this would work better for the united states or worse?
    2.Could there have been more revolts if rome had made there enemies convert to their religion and customs?
    3.Would Julius Caesar have been such a big deal in rome if the Gracchus hadn't been killed?

  7. 1) If 1/3 of the population in Rome was slaves, Why was this such a high percentage in these area but not elsewhere?

    2)If Julius Caesar was told to step down from his role as dictator, then why and how was he reelected for life?

    3)Why did Rome stop being a republic?

    4) Why were the wealthy allowed to vote in Rome and how did their money effect their right to vote?

  8. In ancient Rome, there were tyrants/reformers that made changes in government. What examples of leaders today might be considered tyrants by one group of people and reformers by another?

    How would putting a limit on the amount of land someone could own be a reform that would help the poor of Rome?

    What are the positive and negative aspects of the system of representation in a republic?

    How did the Twelve Tables establish the idea that all free citizens had protection under the law? How does it compare to other legal codes we've studied in the ancient world?

  9. If Rome was on the actually coast of Italy do you think it would have been more successful at trade and less protected and safe?

    If Caesar never existed or was killed before even being consul do you every think Rome would have been an empire or just stayed a republic?

    Though the US government looks almost identical to the Rome republic system if it had never been created would are government be totally different perhaps a empire,or oligarchy?

    If the Romans did not allow slavery do you think it would have been a weaker civilization especially in trade and goods production? If the Romans did not allow slavery then would have still been an empire?
